Landscaping & hardscaping in Garrett Park

When beds have disappeared into overgrowth, it can be difficult to see which parts of a yard are worth keeping. Our Garrett Park project cleared years of growth, removed invasive species, and redefined the bed borders. The project was about recovering the yard that was there. Those bed edges were part of making it usable again.

See what is there before adding more

For an overgrown property, clearing and edging give you a chance to look at the beds as spaces, rather than as a list of plants to replace. If those spaces need a different arrangement afterward, our design and installation work can help plan it. A path or other built edge may also be worth discussing through our hardscaping service, if access through the garden is a concern.

Tell us which areas are hard to reach or hard to maintain. It is easier to make a sensible plan once the overgrowth is out of the way.

Town right-of-way and historic-area checks

The Town of Garrett Park’s permit guide points homeowners to its right-of-way maps and sets planting limits near corner sight lines. The town also describes a Historic Area Work Permit for designated properties. Check the particular lot before placing a path, fence or new planting near the street; not every property has the same historic designation.

If a project involves a structure, town and county approvals may both matter. Discuss the location alongside our landscape design or fencing work rather than assuming a standard county-only route.
