Landscaping & hardscaping in Rockville
Tree work and garden cleanup can call for very different decisions. Our gallery has an illustrative tree-work image as well as a spring cleanup entry. Tree work changes the planting plan for years ahead. Cleanup gives existing beds room to show again.
What needs attention first?
If the question is about an aging or damaged tree, start with our tree services. Removal and replacement deserve more thought than simply clearing space: replacement planting may be worth considering, rather than leaving the spot bare. For beds that have lost their shape, a cleanup may be the more immediate job. Our design and installation work is also an option when the planting layout itself needs to change.
You don’t have to treat every unruly area as a blank slate. Look at what should stay before deciding what to remove or replant. If the yard also needs a path or patio, our hardscaping work can be planned around the trees you keep.
Rockville has its own review paths
A property inside Rockville city limits follows city processes for residential fence applications and sediment control, rather than assuming the county application applies. The work and address determine which review is needed. See our fencing and grading pages for what to consider before planning the job.
Rockville also has tree-preservation processes, including a significant-tree removal application. Whether one applies depends on the tree and project, so start with the location and scope before deciding on tree work.

Cliff and Nature's Friends Landscaping provide superb service and I wholeheartedly recommend them. His estimate was half that of another highly recommended service. He and his team showed up on time.

Cliff and his crew did an amazing job on my large and tired-looking yard — clearing away leaves and debris, mulching, and artfully re-defining long-neglected overgrown borders and beds. What a transformation!
